A number of local residents came to us with concerns that the triangle adjacent to Ashford Rd and near the Co-op was the site of some rather unscrupulous activities, including being used as an unofficial ‘public toilet’ by passing van drivers.
To try to combat this, IHRA volunteers set about clearing the shrubbery and rubbish so that not only is the space already easier on the eye, but also no longer an overgrown potential hideaway. Wild flower seeds were scattered amongst the trees and there is a plan to plant daffodil bulbs later in the year. We’ve already had several thanks for the good work from local residents, and look forward to seeing the triangle blooming with colour in the Spring.
